ISAIAH JONES - FROM SUNDAY LEAGUE TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP

Written by Ricky Carroll

What a journey it's been for Isaiah Jones. From Lambeth Allstars to winning awards for Championship side Middlesbrough - and still only 22, you can't help but think this is just the beginning! Isaiah is a joy to watch - he plays with a flair and freedom, making him - such an entertaining player. He can play in various positions. His strengths are undoubtedly his impressive array of passing and his pace. These past 12 months at Middlesbrough have seen Isaiah cement his place in the team making over 40 appearances. In addition to Isaiah's pace and trickery - he reads the game brilliantly. His reading of the game - often sees him pounce on defensive mistakes from the opposition or protect his teammates by intercepting dangerous attacks. Isaiah's trickery is what makes him so exciting to watch. He has this ability to produce a moment of brilliance to change a game. His crossing ability is a dream for his teammates but a nightmare for the opposition. Isaiah has made the right wing-back role his own. He can beat a full back and whip in a devastating cross - or he can run inside the full-back and attack the opposition defence. Having him running full pace at you will give anyone a torrid time. Isaiah Jones has made incredible strides in the last five years - going from the Isthmian League with Tooting & Mitcham to playing week in and week out in the Championship. Isaiah has just won the Middlesbrough Players Player of the Year - and Young Player of the Year. Still only 22 - there is so much more to come!
