Reuben Duncan is a baller! During his time at the Millwall academy, he showed his class. His ability to pick the right pass is exceptional, and he's shown that from an early age.
When at Millwall, he showed his all-round ability. He can break the play up. His reading of the game is superb, ensuring he times his tackles perfectly. After winning the ball many players will play that safe sideways or backwards pass. Reuben can do that side of the game with his eyes closed. One of his best assets is his ability to pick a decisive pass after winning the ball back, which he has proven on countless occasions.
His anticipation and all-round reading of the game are brilliant. He is very good at tracking his runners and making decisive interceptions or tackles to break up opposition attacks.
Reuben's ability to dribble and carry the ball, in addition to his close control, means he can play in several positions. He's capable of drifting outwide or infield to pick up pockets of space. When he finds pockets, it's long for the opposition! He links the play well and can split any defence with a pass.
What makes him such a handful is his physical presence. He can use his stature and tackling ability to bully opposition players. But when he gets that ball at his feet, he can honestly do things most players only dream of doing. He can carry the ball and run right at the heart of the opposition defence. He can clip a ball behind for the attackers to chase, or as proven against SE Dons XIs, he has a hammer of shot!
Reuben is a brilliant player to watch. When he carries the ball, he glides across the pitch - Michael Ballack Esq! You can play him in any midfield role, and he will impact the game. Following spells with Walton Casuals and Banstead, Reuben is ready for the coming season, with plenty of clubs at step 3 and above looking at this young baller.
